We are heading across the Atlantic for a long and exciting Journey to Africa. Africa is the word here, the farthest point on our travels is Cape Town, South Africa, all the way at the bottom of the Great Continent and at 25 degrees South Latitude, we will be crossing the equator!
Why do we choose Quebec as a departure point?
Quebec City's great appeal and the uniqueness of the Chateau Frontenac, plus of course the great cultural aspect of the city, aid in making our selection but our main reasoning is that Quebec City is perfectly situated to provide us with multiple options for Crossing the Atlantic.
Air Journey has been leading Journeys across the Atlantic for over 10 years and "my way" hasn't changed, I want my destination open and 2 ways out for it to be a go!
After an introduction of the participants and the receiving of the Air Journey "Goodies", we are ready for the brief, itself, referencing our next day's leg.
The briefing was based on a flight taking us from Goose Bay to Narsarsuaq in Greenland, and after looking over the weather charts and our interpretation of the material, we have a strong inclination to go that route. But per usual, we are not yet at 100% certainty. Patience is a virtue when planning your crossing!
Prior to going to bed, I looked over the weather conditions and noticed that Nuuk was going below minimums, making me wonder what tomorrow will bring. Looks like a change may be in the plans.
Stay tuned...
