A Visit to a Djiboutian Village and their Children

On the return journey from the Lake, we stopped at a local village to visit with the children. We handed out chocolate chip cookies and water. The smiles on their faces were great to see.

Then a quick stop downtown Djibouti to see the locals before heading back to our oasis for the night.

This is an amazing experience.

We experienced a little of the same mess on the return to Djibouti....this is an amazing sight...empty trucks driving back to town and the loaded ones heading to Ethiopia; the Journey is 900 km and takes about 3 days.

Djibouti is 98% Muslim

There is always time to browse local stores!
