On our way to Pemba via Nairobi

All great things must come to an end but we are sad to be leaving. We are off to Nairobi to pick up the planes and fly on to Pemba, Mozambique for a different type of adventure.

Great excuse for being late, we were stopped by an elephant heard of 24 on our way to the airport!

A Visit to a Masai Village

The Masai are semi-nomadic people located in Kenya and northern Tanzania. We had the opportunity to visit one of their villages during our time in Masai Mara.

Here are the views from our Camp, Bateleur Camp...

the game from our camp

Ok Ok white men can't jump...Masai men jump in hopes of gaining the interest of the Masai women. The higher they jump, the more attractive they are.

Jeffrey shared some iPad photos he just took with the Masai women.

More Game Driving

Out of the Big Five we only missed seeing the Leopard.

The Masai Mara is the best game drive available and we were well served with many exciting moments and great encounters with the wildlife.

Finally a rhino! this is not an easy animal to find...

they're noisy, mean and scary and they smell really bad

Our ladies even had a cooking session while in the camp.

Sophie is getting ready for real camping...or maybe we will continue this "glamping" idea.
